| Welcome to Doubletake Samoyeds, located in Lewisville, North Carolina. Doubletake began with Julie Burke in 1984, later joined by her first daughter, Brandy. Together Julie and Brandy strive to breed for an all around Samoyed with good health, temperament, structure, and type along with the breed's natural herding instinct. All of our dogs are pets first. They all live in the house with us and sleep on our beds, if they don't get too hot first. Their lives do not revolve around being show dogs, yes they go out and play in the mud and dig holes and swim in nasty water. They are dogs and enjoy a life of being dogs. To see videos of training, playing, and sillyness go to: http://www.youtube.com/user/Dbltake6 NEWS Icy has earned her TDI (therapy dog title)! Venus has her NAJ title also and has 1 leg towards her OA and 2 towards her OAJ. We are heading to the National next week, look for us there! Clover is staying home this year. Look for Venus in herding, agility, & conformation and Bacchus in herding, weight pull, conformation, and his agility debut! I won't be able to update here while on the road so for National updates go to: http://agilitylaughs.blogspot.com
Versatile Samoyeds We mostly compete in conformation but our dogs are also training and/or competing in weight pull, agility, tracking, obedience, rally, herding, and dryland mushing (sledding on wheels without snow). Each dog has their strong areas but they are all able to do a wide variety of things.
